FUNCTION - To co-ordinate all matters pertaining to queries and answers raised in the House of Representatives/the Senate as well as at the tabling of Bills
- To co-ordinate all matters pertaining to Cabinet papers and the monitoring of Cabinet decisions
- To manage the Ministry's general administrative matters such as booking of vehicles, leasing of state/regional offices
- To co-ordinate all the Ministry's Quality and Productivity Improvement programs
- To control the Ministry's Operating and Development Expenditures
- To prepare and oversee the Trust Accounts under the Ministry, the Branch Account System (BAS) and the Central Account System (CAS)
- To manage all acquisitions through tenders/quotations for the Ministry
- To implement Stock Verification exercises at all Divisions and state/regional offices
CLIENT CHARTER - To respond to requests for the use of vehicles and meeting rooms within one (1) day from date of request
- To prepare and ensure circulation of minutes of the Ministry's important meetings within three (3) days from the date the meetings
- To circulate copies of parliamentary questions within two (2) days from receipt of said questions.
- To circulate Memorandums of Cabinet meetings of other ministries to divisions/agencies responsible for preparing remarks/comments within three (3) days from receipt of the said memorandums
- To issue payment vouchers within ten (10) days from receipt of completed requests
- To approve applications for advances/miscellanous payments within fourteen (14) days from receipt of completed applications
- To issue travel warrants for air/train/bus within five (5) days from receipt of completed requests
- To issue allocation warrants and to approve virement applications within seven (7) days from receipt of completed applications
